"It's really wonderful that you are putting so much effort into helping us achieve our dreams. Animation Mentor is a great school. It's also like being part of a big caring family."
Sara Wade
Animation Mentor Student
The online character animation school, Animation Mentor, received the preeminent 2006 21st Century Award as well as the 2006 Best Practices in Programming Award Gold Level at the US Distance Learning Awards (USDLA) Celebration of Excellence.
The Animation Mentor Student Showcase premiered at Comic-Con 2006 with an amazing response from fans, onlookers and studio representatives. The best thing about the Animation Mentor Student Showcase is that it shows work that has been done 100% by our students, some of which came to the school with no prior animation experience!
Animation Mentor:
What inspired you to learn animation?
Patty Strulovic:
What inspired me to actually come to the U.S and learn animation was the possibility to be an animator. All my life I've been a fan, and I had the opportunity to become part of something that I loved.
Brett Coderre: It's really amazing what Animation Mentor has done. Finally there is somewhere that lets people know what animation is about, no holds barred. I love mentoring and learning in return.
The last couple of months we've been talking about contrast, but I think it's time to leave contrast behind us. I think we've said pretty much all I really want to say about it, and in keeping with the original mandate of writing about "whatever I feel like writing about on any given day," we're going to talk about something else that's been on my mind a bit today. It's a little less concrete than contrast, but no less important.
The aim of “The Little book of Hindu Deities” is to give readers super appealing designs that draw them into reading and learning about Hindu mythology. On the surface its candy colored shapes and icons but underneath there is some real substance and meaning that will hopefully be interesting to readers. Another goal of the book was to approach the mythology in a fun and lighthearted way.
