Quote of the Month:
"Animation Mentor has been a fork-in-the-road, life-defining experience for me, it has helped me dust off and once again pursue my dreams."

My little corner of the newsletter is evolving this month into something that will be more fun, and certainly more advanced than it has been so far. Instead of blathering on endlessly for months on end about a particular topic, we'll hit one "animation tip" per month. Hopefully it'll be fun!
We animators are a creative bunch, there's no question about it. The desire to do something creative for a living, to bring characters and ideas to life, is what got most of us into this business. It can sometimes come as a rather nasty shock to be reminded that it IS a business, and still follows some of the conventions of those "other" jobs. One of the most intimidating of those conventions is the job interview.
I've always been artistic, but I never thought that I could make a living at it... Until I was in high school and I remember seeing a CG commercial on television...
Well, I tend to think everything can enrich you as an animator, especially if you look for all the ways you can apply the knowledge. I think if you're looking for the most efficient way to learn animation though, AnimationMentor is the best.
