AnimationMentor.com's Student Showcase: Summer 2006 Edition

The Animation Mentor Student Showcase premiered at Comic-Con 2006 with an amazing response from fans, onlookers and studio representatives. The best thing about the Animation Mentor Student Showcase is that it shows work that has been done 100% by our students, some of which came to the school with no prior animation experience!

When we built AnimationMentor.com we knew we would put our heart and soul into it and hoped that the students would come out with some of that passion shining through in their work. The result, as we have seen thus far, is far better than we could have ever hoped and dreamed for. Now, as we get closer to graduating our first class we wanted to give the world a sneak peak of some of the work that's been done over the last year here at the school. It's pretty amazing to see what our students have done in one year's time with a lot of passion, drive, support and hard work.

I'm happy to say that these shots feel personal, authentic and sincere. Students have learned how to animate feelings and personality, not simply movement. We are so proud of each and every one of them. Of course we could have put a lot more work on this reel but we felt 6 minutes would give people a great feel of what's coming from some of our up and coming graduates.

Oh and there's still 6 months to go with short films coming soon!!! So, stay tuned for more exciting and fantastic work! For now, enjoy our first ever AnimationMentor.com Student Showcase Summer 2006 Edition.
