Will Groebe, animation supervisor at Tippett Studio, shares his experience receiving criticism from others in the workplace. He explains that there are professional ways to handle critical feedback that will help you grow both as an animator and a professional in the workplace.
Groebe recommends listening to feedback and turning it into a constructive experience. This is an important part of learning to improve your work, whether it comes from a peer, supervisor or even someone without a background in animation or visual effects.
Groebe also advises animators to remain professional and always animate to the best of their ability, regardless of whether they believe a change was necessary in the shot. Being a professional in the industry requires animators to be receptive to feedback and criticism from others.
