"It took me years to figure out the right way to storyboard - both the art of it and the business. It just doesn't have to be that hard. I wanted to help artists get into this profession quickly and successfully. This book is what I wished I had when I got started.

When I wrote the first edition of my book, it was one of the first on the subject. The others on the market didn’t really say anything with substance. With every edition I’ve put everything I can think of into my books. If you want to know anything about any aspect of storyboarding, I’ve covered it by now. At this point, I don’t think there’s anything else I can add.

For the last four years, I’ve kept the 2nd edition of my book at my side and I wrote notes on it and around it. Every time I had a different experience while boarding, or I thought of something else to add, I wrote it down. This latest edition covers over 15 years of my storyboard knowledge.

Storyboarding has been the best time I have ever had in the arts. I’ve been an artist in many fields: advertising, comic strips, animation, directing, producing, architectural rendering, publishing, product design, etc. But with storyboarding, I get to tell stories, draw with a pencil and work with other creative people. I get to see my work in films and on TV. Plus, I make a lot of money. What’s not to love about it?"
