Animation Mentor graduate Alison Sanders shares her story of breaking into the animation industry. The wheels were set in motion when Alison met Bobby Beck and Carlos Baena at SIGGRAPH. They told her about the program they were going to be launching, and she wanted in. After her first class at Animation Mentor, Alison was hooked and she continued through all the classes until graduation.
Within 8 weeks of graduating Animation Mentor, Alison was hired at London-based studio Framestore. She credits Animation Mentor with helping her gain all of the building blocks she needed to break into the industry, including a community of animators to offer helpful critiques, and a strong network of friends and coworkers in the industry.
After working on 3 films at Framestore, Alison was relocated back to the US and began working at Tippett Studio. To date, she has worked on many feature films, including The Golden Compass, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Tale of Despereaux, and Cats & Dogs 2. Alison is also a current mentor at Animation Mentor.
